Winnie Cicholsz owns Win C Contracting, a woman and minority-owned business based in Anchorage. Win C contracting provides building cleaning services that include vacuuming offices, buffing floors, shampooing carpets, and general office cleaning. She has successfully added government contracts along with her regular clients. "Federal contracting is overwhelming for a small business like mine and PTAC helped me along the way."

Work Zone Traffic Control & Maintenance LLC

Trish Early and Cindy Hudgins started their own traffic control company in 2014 by bringing Trish's already established business training and certifying flaggers for road construction industry and Cindy's background in office management to start their own traffic control company. Alaska PTAC specialists provided assistance with obtaining a DUNS number, registering in the SAM database, navigating the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) application process, creating a Statement of Qualifications, and then finally activating a Bid Match profile. They were able to successfully bid for two Department of Transportation contracts and continue to win and manage new government contracts.
